I am looking to convert 2 .mqv files to .jpg files and was wondering if anyone could help me out. The software that it is running off of is called ImageQuix Photosession. I believe I will have to do some decryting of the files, but am not the savviest with digital photography software.
If anyone can help or has suggestions, please let me know.

I think it's a quicktime file and quicktime 6 and above should be able to open and perhaps convert to jpeg.

Quicktime will not open it. And even if it did, would there be a way to pull the pics out of the Quicktime application?

Try to rename it *.mov and try again
Infact I installed first quicktime alternative and I renamed mqv-files to mov-files and then opened them with media player classic. It has facility to save images as jpg.
Another way is to download kinoma producer or Kinoma Media Album http://www.kinoma.com/downloadhome.html and convert file to suiteble one, eg mpeg4

I did that and it still didn't open. I have a feeling that the files produced by Imagequix, which are classified as .mqv, may be protected somehow. I downloaded Quicktime 7, and that won't open it either.

Being stuck in MQV is fine. But can I open them with someting else. It was prdocued in Imagequix. Is there a type of Imagequix viewer, or can the MQV be decrypted?

The
Sony Movie Player Format
These files are in MPEG-4 format. To play on a PC rename to .MOV extension and use Apple's Quicktime (latest version plays .MQV files directly if you associate the extension with the program).

The .MQV format that we are talking about is not Sony Movie Player Format. These are files produced by ImageQuix software. It is a collection of pictures in one large .MQV file.

I know Sony makes a version of this file, but there is also an .MQV file produced by the company that makes Imagequix software. It isn't the same kind of .MQV file; trust me.
