In order for swap magic to work, do I need to have a no-solder mod chip installed as well? Swap magic with no mod chip works or does not work?

Bhavin is talking rubbish, it will work. You just need the swap magic disks and a slide card/flip top.

Ok, all I have is the Swap Magic discs and the slide tool. Can someone confirm that they personally have had success with these alone?

I said a mod as in a modification not a mod chip you dumbass, meaning you neeed like a slim kit pro or a flip top with the discs.

for a simple ansawr yes all you need is swap magic and some sort of tool which you have(slide card) you boot dvd games with the sm dvd disc and cd games with the sm cd disc

beautiful, I finally got it working. The problem was that I wasn't using the slide card to lock the drive back up after swapping discs.
