currently I have a whole collection of divx/xvid that i ripped from my personal collection...

its a pain to do all the ripping.

i hear that ratDVD rips everything and keeps the dvd almost intact...

i keep my divx/xvid on a server pc and read them using XBMC over the network.... will xbmc play what i create with ratDVD

BOOM SHAKA LAKA!

Hello people... I have heard the mention of the Xbox using XBMC about a dozen times. Everyone always says the XBox won't be strong enough. If you read all the info on the Streaming software it states that the Server System must have the codec installed on it, because, THE SERVER DECODES the video before sending it over the network. I can even play a movie (Divx or Xvid) that is stored in a zip file on the server. The server decompresses and decodes the video before sending it. Now the current XBMC doesn't find the ratDVD files simply because when XBMC is looking for a video it looks for and .ISO, .AVI, .MPG, .MOV, .ZIP, .RAR and so on. ".ratdvd" is not one of the parameters. That I think would be something very easy to change.
