I have before burning every game, rebuilt the ISO (ISOBuster, cdvdgen). Some games work, some not at all. This could be because of my media, Samsung Pleomax DVD-R 8x printable? Can someone verify me that my media is worthless and that my backups will work much better when I get better media?
My questions is if it's bad to rebuild a game when not necessary? The size of the image is in many games (Enthusia, MX vs. ATV, Street Race Syndicate etc.) severley reduced. And I have noticed that in these games the in-game videos and sounds are lagging a lot, but not the gameplay. Is this because of the media or the rebuilding? What are the real benefits with rebuilding? And what are the backsides?

PS. I'm using Swap Magic 3.6 PAL with PSTwo

I think rebuilding a game is great for HDD users because it saves space on the hard drive to put more games on it. But for swap magic really not necessary only if the game is pretty big like Merc., Nba Street V3,God of War and on but i wouldn't waste my time with a 1,2, or 3 gigabyte game unless im putting more than one game on a dvd-r if i have three 1gb games then i would use isobuster and put it on one dvd-r
For Example
Dragon ball Sagas was i think 1 or 2 gb but
Dragon ball Z 2 and 3 where 4gb games i rebuild then and they broke down to be 1gb and i have all three on one dvd-r so rebuilding does saves me dvd-r money

Rebuilding is not needed with most games if you use Swap Magic 3.3 or 3.6
It is just a waste of your time. Now i did rebuild MX VS ATV because
the load times were really bad in season mode on my first copy.
But i have not rebuilt a game in quite a while and all my back ups work just fine. Burned with DVD Decrypter.
Good media: Philips, TDK, Verbatim, Ritek G04
Stay clear of Memorex, and Maxcell also work ok
