Quote: Highest quality files
Highly regarded as one of the most effective file-sharing programs, Blubster not only offers you the most well known mp3 files to download (.MP3) but also offers you the possibility to find professional quality streaming files - Ogg Vorbis, in your downloads. (.OGG)
User interaction
Communicating with other users is as simple as a click. Once your client program connects with another client you can search and download Mp3 music files from the entire Blubster community. With an unlimited number of peers connecting to its network, chat and ?voice chat? are available and can get you in touch with any user you find in the network.
Online Friends
By creating a "Hot List", you can always see if your friends are connected to the MP2P network. This is not only a good way to "keep an eye" on your friends, but also the easiest and most fun way to make new friends with the same musical interests as you.
Easy-to-use interface
Blubster offers an excellent graphical user interface with clear buttons that make your downloading process very simple. The complete toolbar is placed on top of the layout and makes it simple to access your shared folder, searches and files transfers. Your mp3 player is located at the bottom and you?ll have full control without complex menus.
High-speed rate
The estimated download time has been accelerated using the latest technologies. The incredible speed that the MP2P network reaches is due to the thousands of users that are part of this open--music online community. Blubster searches the network for all available sources for a file transfer and selects the fastest sources to start downloading. The program conducts file downloads at a great speed, not forgetting the quality factor: your music downloads will be automatically verified to avoid errors or fake files.
Auto resumable downloads
When the download begins, Blubster will check fingerprints in order to download from multiple machines. This provides faster-than-average results for everyone. If you try to download a file you already share, you can choose to resume, overwrite, rename or even cancel the download. When you find a file you already store in your hard disk, you can play it from within the search result itself.
Play List
Using our free software you will be able to manage all of your files using a playlist, listening to them with the new internal music player. This saves you time and offers an extremely high quality sound, loading your mp3s directly from your "My Shared Folder".
Advanced Searches
You can also get a more concrete result from your song quest by using the advanced search option; specifying the estimated bitrate and file size you want. Blubster provides the fastest distributed search on any peer-to-peer network
Web links
Web links provide a new and exciting way to share your music. Just a couple of clicks will allow your shared files to be turned into links which can be placed in web pages, or entered into a standard web browser. When you click a web link, Blubster will open and download the file.
Blubster is a new de-centralized P2P network powered by MP2P giving you lightningt fast downloads and total anonymity.
Quote: Blubster is based on the MANOLITO protocol developed by Pablo Soto. By taking into account both the Gnutella v0.4 and UDP protocols, Pablo learnt from their mistakes and created a truly new principle of p2p file sharing.
To understand these innovations let?s look at the problems faced by Gnutella users. Gnutella is not a democratic way of sharing. It is flooded by ?free riders?, in other words 70% of users do not share any of their files.
About 50% of file sharing on Gnutella is done by the top 1% of users. Of course this leads to an inequality in sharing and is ultimately detrimental to a p2p network. However, this is not the only problem that current peer-to-peer networks suffer from. Traffic has in the past been too flooded by modem users, the protocols contained no metadata concepts and there is a lack of scalability.
MANOLITO is based on top of the UDP transport protocol. This is big advantage over TCP/IP for two very significant reasons. Firstly TCP/IP is reliable. This means that it is not anonymous. File sharing can be tracked and subsequently shut down by the-powers-that-be. This is not the case with UDP. Secondly UDP is faster than TCP/IP, if you don?t believe it ? test it yourself.
MANOLITO has many other benefits over its competitors. New features can be constantly added owing to its innate scalability, giving users access to increased functionality with full backward compatibility, over unlimited content and connections.
Blubster also has some clever tricks in how it uses the MANOLITO protocol. Blubster runs through ?Gateways? - web pages that contain peer lists. These are very simple and allow Blubster to maintain gateways around the world in case some servers are shut down.
Blubster also makes use of a unique method of ?Smart Caching?. Blubster uses compression technology to save thousands of IP addresses in an encrypted cache. MANOLITO is capable of testing up to 15,000 hosts a second, thus the look-up of peers and connection speed is much faster than the traditional TCP/IP protocol.
Thing is, It is bundled with Ad-Ware (Which can be removed with Ad-Aware!)
And there's no such thing as fake files on this network, because you can only share mp3 and ogg files!
