Yes, I've tried coping Destroy All Humans. So far it hasn't worked.
I was looking for some help myself. I got a copy of the game from Easynews and have mounted an ISO image in Alcohol 120%. Then I burned it at the lowest speed possible. Once I had it installed on my Ps2 hard drive, I can get the game to boot, but the picture jumps up and down and is in a green shitty color. So from here I'm lost. Any ideas?

If you use Swap Magic, try different Video Modes, like PAL or NTSC.

snake2005 You will need a Swap Magic disk if you plan on running the game from a DVD. I've burned Destroy All Humans with Alcohol 120% and it plays perfectly. I have Swap Magic 2.0 and run a V7 PS2.

Bucket82 It sounds like the version you got is PAL and you need an NTSC version. (or vice versa) Either way, if you're in North America or Japan, you need NTSC. If you're in Europe, you need PAL. There are ways to change it from PAL to NTSC, but its much too involved of a process to outline here. Try looking around in other parts of the afterdawn forums or ps2nfo.com.

demonkill - what's wrong with 8 speed... i have successfully backed-up 65 games + this way.. none of them have errors or loading problems etc.
I've found that the only ones that I've had to burn at 4 speed were a few EA games titles such as LOTR - the third age, because at 8 speed the sound was a bit off for some reason.

People on this forum are going to have different methods that work for them because of different hardware and software used to back the games up.
when you find something that works for you, stick with it... if you're burning at 4 speed and getting no coasters etc, then good for you.
I burn at 8 speed and don't have any problems whatsoever and plus it's faster...on average around 5 mins to decrypt to hard disc and 8-10 mins to burn the image.
I try to give constructive comments that might help someone else with their problems... not criticise someone else's methods.

@snake2005 DVD Decrypter is the best program closely followed by alcohol 120%. and @paddymail I wasn't trying to 'criticise someone else's methods.' I was just trying to stop you running into further problems cos thats what I've heard works/ doesn't work.

I haven't had any problems since i've been burning at 8 speed...65+ games testify to that. Was just trying to offer suggestions for someone else that might benefit from burning at higher speed. But thanks for the input.
Personally I think Nero is the best burning software to use... but it's a matter or preference really...whatever works for you.
happy burning guys

I tired it on Hd advance. It didn't work for me, but it could be a bunk copy, since I used Easynews to get it off the net.

The Iso file size was 4gb, give or take some mb here and there.
That would seem about normal to me.

Works on HDAdvance 2.0 - no patches and Use mode 3 if freezing occurs.

I tried rebuilding it and that didn't work - so will a straightforward copy work?

Worked for me. Depends on if you downloaded it or not. Try a straight forward copy and see.
