They are all pieces of the same archive, broken into smaller pieces for easier transfer / management.
Their may be lots of files but they all work together to reproduce the original content be it a single video file or hundreds of smaller files. Simply double click the first in the set (.001 for example or .rar) to open the WinRAR application (assuming you have installed it) this will allow you to see the contents of the archive. Or, as the guide says, right click the first one and choose 'extract here'
for more details see the WinRAR website at http://www.rarlab.com/

The archive cannot be recreated if there are any parts missing.
*tip*
If you have the luxury of more than 1 hard drive, it is faster to extract from one HD to another. This is because your PC is not reading from and writing to just one Disk. Instead it can perform the read, decompress, write operation much faster.

I really hate to be so dumb but i can't get this rar file thing. ok what i did is went out and bought my son 50 cent bulletproof for christmas. iT'S FOR PS2. ok when i put it in DVD Decrypter to create an iso file, it goes through the whole process, and says operation sucessful. when i go to burn the iso file there is none. Instead i get MDS, vug.I00 & vug I01. I Exstracted the vug.I00 file in to the folder c:/vug.(That's my HD) Now that i have done this, where do i go from here far as getting it on a DVD-R disk to play it. I see where hursty says use DVD Decrypter, but when i go to use the DVD Decrypter i can't select my hard drive as the source. can someone please help me out.
thanx.
thanx

above >>>>
this has nothing to with winrar
when you use DVD Decrypter it splits the iso in 2 parts, like what you have got,and you also get an MDS FILE
you need to select the mds file when burning,(the small file)
you dont need to extract anything
