I have an ILO R05 DVD recorder. \
I have cable from my service provider plugged into my VCR.
I have an A/V cable going from my VCR to my DVD recorder.
I have an A/V cable going from my DVD recorder to my TV.

My problem is that I cannot receive Closed Captions with this hook up either on my VCR or My DVD. When I take the DVD out of the loop ( or hook the DVD up as though it were just a player) I can reciver Closed Captions on my VCR.

Infact most of the features of the DVD recorder are lost to me with this hook up. For example, I cannot mark chapters when it is recording.

Can anyone help?
