ok iv tried everything i can think of to get my dvd into qt format. iv been trying to rip from dvd to mpeg1/mpeg2 then use quicktime pro to convert that into a .mov but sound doesnt show up in the .mov form of the movie. i have a collection of public domain horror flicks that im trying to stream with in this game i play (second life) which only supports quicktime files. any help would be great im pulling my hair out with all this trial and error.

i use windows XP if that helps to know heh

If the mpegs are fine, try ImToo Mpeg Encoder. There's also a possibility that you're missing some codecs. Try install K-Lite codec Pack (full or mega version).

yes my mpeg's are fine sound and video are perfect. but when i convert them using quicktime pro to a .mov i get the same perfect video but no sound. and the sound settings in quicktime pro says the sounce movie has no audio even tho when i play the mpeg in qt it has sound. ill try installing the codec pack thank you ;)

ok no matter what i make the mpeg with. once i try to convert it using quicktime pro it says video has no audio sounce even tho it does. so im thinking quicktime pro is the problem. what other programs convert to .mov ?
