I am new at burning ps2 games , so i have burned 4 or 5 so far, and haven't had any real troubles with the games except for being a little slow loading..... So the plroblem i have run into is, i am trying to burn The Urbz Sims in the city for my wife cause she is complaing that she bought me my dvd writer and i use it to burn myself all the things i want..... nag , nag , nag!!!!! so to make her happy i wam trying to burn this game for her, but haven't had any luck doin so, i used dvd decrypter to read and write it at 1x, didn't work... then i read on here to use nero to copy disc and that didn't work , so i thought it might be the speed i was burnin , ,but most of the things that i read people on here do is burn their games at 1x, but i tried any ways to burn at 2x , sorry to say, no go.... now when i first started to come here to look to learn how to burn stuff, most people said when you use decrypter to burn games , burn the MDS file instead of the ISO... will that that work for me for this game or is there an easier way to do it...... So if anybody can help that has burned this game with no problem i would sure appreciate if you could help me ASAP!!! thanx

you should always select the MDS file when using DVD Decrypter, this automatically selects both ISO and MDS files for burning. What type of media you using, cuz i use verbatim dvd-r's and have burnt this game onto one of them at 1x with DVD Decrypter and it works for me!

i am using memorex dvd+r, it's what my wife bought me when she got the dvd burner i couldn't take them back cause she lost the receipt

ok, i just burned the mds file aat 1x and it is stuck on the loading, please wait screen........ i have swap magic 3.6 with the slide card..... and the media that i have is the ones my wife bought me , is memorex 16 dvd+r , can you burn games faster than 1x or will that just screw up the game more!!!!!!

i wouldnt reccommend burning more than 1x! just change your media that all i can say. is the game PAL or NTSC???

I think is because of the media. I remember I burned my FIFA 2005 to a memorex and it didnt pass the loading screen also. You can get some MAXELL DVD-Rs scince they are cheap and work perfect for games.

Yeah get better media. Memorex is awful media for PS2. But that doesnt mean its wasted, just save it for your movies. I have heard they are ok for movies. A burn speed of 1x seems fine, I personally burn at 4x and have never had any problems. But each persons setup is different so try changing the media first and we will go from there.
