I am planning of buying the Duo 2 se modchip for my ps2 so I can play ps2 backups but i don't know how to open my ps2 to install the chip.if I buy the duo 2 se does it come with installation instructions but im pertty sure it does not come with a guide on opening the ps2 right.

get a pro to do it since instructions to do so will most likely result in a killed ps2

Depends where you live? Yeah if you dont know how to open the PS2, then chances are you want wanna try and install the chip as you need to be an expert at soldering. Get a pro to do it. I got a pro to fit my DUO2 chip and it is awesome
