i can burn ps2 backups with no problem, but i need to know if anyone here pads the data on there backups to push it to the edges and fill up the disc for smaller games. i ask because i do this with all my xbox backups using layout dumper and moogui for the best performace, sice i just got my v12 modded and heard of all the horror stories with the laser, i want to prolong the life of the laser as well as speed up loading times and make backups as close to the original as possible. also does ripping original ps2 discs mess up the file layout like when backing up xbox games? thanks

I have done this with some movies. For example if I have downloaded a XVID/DIVX which is around 800MB, converted it to DVD using TMPGEnc, the file size is still under 1 gig. So i just created a 3 gig dummy file with Nikko dummy file creator I think it is called to pad out the image.
