I hear that sony is trying to make an external psp harddrive for those who dont want to take out the warranty wich is good and also a internal HDD.

Yeah it's quite hard to buy that sony is making an internal harddrive for psp. And I'm not trusting that they make an external one either, it would just be easier for people to pump that harddrive full of iso's.

Actualy I looked into it and they are going to start selling these external hard drives around November some where between $75-$100 and it is going to be 40 gigs.
But I had another idea, My Idea is to conect a usb flash drive to the usb on the psp. I dont know if it will pick up the files though. If you want to give it a shot go ahead, It will probably require a special usb cable. Let me know if it works, I may try it myself.
I also looked around and there is another company trying to make a device that hooks up to the memory stick duo slot so that you can use other types of memory cards that cost less.

You can't put usb flash drives on psp. If they were supported, I think it would be mentioned.

Can the PSP play from the hard drive?? Or does the hard drive just store media, but you still need a memory stick to transfer the media into? I forgot the name of the person who wrote that some company is coming up the memory stick adapter thing where it can hook up with other removable storage, can you give the link for that?

It's possible that the harddrive won't even be released, so at this point it's quite useless to make any conclusions.

u know this is a dumb topic since there is a external hdd out there that is 40gb it was disign for camera and other portable stuff... well anyways there is a hdd that is 40gb made from another company that u can use to store iso's and junk into...but the down side to it is that u have to carry it around with u if u want to transfer a iso or anything else like movie pics music etc....

Yes I bet there is, but can you use it on psp like memorystick? I doubt it. I'm sure you can put iso's and tons of psp stuff on it, but it just can't run on psp.

So can the psp play media off from the Apacer Share Steno CD311? Or you need to transfer it to a memory stick duo, then play from there?
