PSP won't turn on

I left my psp on and it went into hibernation and when I went to turn it back on nothing happens. When it is put in the charger nothing lights up which makes me think it is a bad battery but the battery and psp probably doesn't have more than two hours of use. Any suggestions to what this could be?

U could try to remove the battery then put it back in then turn on the psp.
Or maybe you turned of the light (when you hold the light button down)??????????????/

I have tried taking the battery out, no luck. This really sucks I dont want to have to buy a new battery especially when I dont know if that will fix it. And I am not sure if I have a warranty.

did you hold the light button down????????
It would make your psp light go off and the screen will go black.
When you flip the switch does the GREEN light come ON?????????????

When I flip the switch nothing happens, no lights or noise of the machine running. It just appears dead.

Take the battery out for atleast 1min. i hade this sme prob!

I gave up and bought a new battery. It turned on, now I am just waiting for the battery to fully charge.

never mind, it just randomly turned it on and it worked this time... hmmm strange



i have this exact same problem, i was putting music on my new 2gb ms in my psp, and i finish and went to bed, and the psp was still connected to my laptop, it had its power supply plugged in and was fine, i got up in the morning and it was in hibernation, but it wont turn on, i've tried taking the battery out and leaving it, i've tried just with the power supply and no battery, i've tried taking the ms and umd out and starting it with battery, and without battery just power supply.

nothing, it won't start no lights turn on when plugged in or anything.

if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated, i hope my psp isnt dead it's only two weeks old.

my psp was bought in australia, and it is v2.0 firmware

please help me,
