I'm trying to convert my old wrestling tapes to dvd from my vhs and tried recording straight from my tv. When I'm converting, theres alot of pixel problems because of all of the motion. I've tried ulead, windvd and gocap. Is there a way to fix this and not have all the pixel problems and have smooth video? I've been recording on dvd hq. Thanks

How are you connected? Using composite, s-video, or tuner? What are your tapes? LP, SP, or EP? Your caps will only be as good as the source. Sounds like the source tapes are weak.
When using GoCap what are your settings? What are your computer specs?

Here are my computer specs:
Athlon XP 3200
768 mb Ram
Geforce FX 5200

My source tapes are LP and I'm connecting through composite. Even when I connect straight to my digital cable and record shows, it still has the pixel problem because of all the movement. Is there anyway to fix this and have clean smooth video? Thanks

Since your source tapes are LP then there has already been a loss of video information. This lack of resolution is probebly leading to the pixilation during motion capture. Even if you cap as AVI (which the tv402 can't do) and encode to mpeg afterwards you still won't have great quality.
You could try using custom mpeg capture with GoCap and lower the GOP setting to see if that improves things. Also try setting up your vcr to "soft" playback if possible may help. Mess around with a bunch of test caps to see wht you can get but keep in mind the LP tapes as input are only so good in quality anyways.
