was told that i need to rebuild it,followed instruction in forum,said i would have 2 files,I HAVE 4,did i screw up

I don't know if you're talking about using cdvdgen to rebuild the iso. But if so, you end up with between 2 and 5 of the bin files.
you need to merge ALL the files:-
eg. where ff is the name you chose for the iml file.

copy/b ff.000 + ff.001 + ff.002 + ff.003 ff.iso

then burn the image file using Nero or other burning software.

No you have not messed up,Most iso rebuilding guides tell you that you only get two file when the process is complete, however this is not wrong, just slighty incorrect.

What the guide should say is that you only get two important files. take it for grantage that the two important ones are the files labeled .000 and .001

paddymail- just wanted to say theres a program called (cdvdgen_iso)and it's not cd\vdgen, and with it you don't have to use dos and type all that shit, you just open up cdvdgen_iso after you have used cd\vdgen and just select the files like killer7.000 and 001and 002..ect and then you just push the build button and bang you have your self your rebuilt iso, P\S you can get it from after dawn

Thanks for the info, might check that program out... personally though I don't mind using DOS to do stuff... had to use it a lot way back when I was at college studying computing.
Not sure about blackice's comments about there only being 2 files that you need to build into the iso file. I'm pretty sure I read in a lot of posts when I first joined this forum and read-up all about copying etc, that people were having problems further into the games if they only used the 2 bin files. Think about it, if you've got 4 bin files totalling around 3.8 gigs and then you only build the first 2 bin files into an iso, then you'rer gonna be missing around 1.8 gigs worth of game.. even if it works from boot, I don't think it would last very long in gameplay.
If someone can either confirm or dismiss my logic here it would be greatly appreciated. But for the record, I've always used all the bin files to rebuild the iso and have never had any problems with the games afterwards.

your right you have to use all the files,but some games only have 2 and some games have 5, But no matter what you have to combine all of them or you just made a coaster-LOL

yep that's what I thought...
Doesn't make sense to think you can leave out half the game and still play it ok!!
anyway, for anyone else out there that likes to do things quickly..I discovered that trying to create an iso file with apache2 program is quite slow.. maybe it's just me though.
anyway, always found creating the iso from iml/bin files quicker in DOS , usually around a few minutes or so depending on how many bin files there are.
