I have read thru couple of pages of the official thread of the game, but don't mind me asking it, 1st question;
Does the Sonix's tutorial of the God of War backup allows you to have all the required movies of the game except for the bonus ones and that will we be able to unlock those extra costumes and stuff eg Challenge of the gods etc?
2nd question;
Is there anyway I can rip the whole game including the bonus stuff on DVD-5, by decompressing the whole bunch of them, I dont care if the quality of the movies turn out to be bad. If it is possible, can you let me know of the tools I would require to compress those files?
Yeah, one more thing, is there any torrent that has all the bonus stuff?
The Sonix tutorial will let you have the ocmplete game. It only cuts out all the behind the scenes and "making of God of War" movies that are on the end of the disk once you beat it. Although they're kind of cool, most of them are 30 minutes of listening to the producer talk about how cool Kratos is... which... he is. You will not lose any game content.
Challenge of the Gods will still be accessable as it's considered part of the game (as far as the data on the disk is concerned). Same with the costumes. The only thing that the Sonix tutorial is doing is getting rid of the behind the scenes stuff.
You cant shrink the movies like you can on a DVD movie. So, quick answer is no.
Finally good luck getting someone to reply with a "good torrent" as the rules clearly state that this site does not support pirating. If you're REALLY in need, I'm sure your local video rental place has a copy on the shelf... the game has been out for a while.
Hey thanks for the reply, helped alot, least I will have all that I can enjoy. I also found a tutorial at the backuptools web-site for God of War, which also includes compressing of bonus stuff, If anyone here have tried it, can you please let me know if it works?
Also I have heard that the game freezes at the Pandora's temple, is this issue also in the original game or occurs only on the backups, and If someone knows any solutions to it. I burn games using Alcohol 120% on LG DVD-R discs at 2.0x speed, is it fine for burning god of war?
