I have been trying to backup ps2 games and have yet to complete a successful copy. I have incorporated dvd decrypter with isobuster and used nero burning rom to burn, as suggested by poodude. What is the correct dvd medium to use? I have been using dvdrw. My system is a Dell Laptop. P4 2.66 Ghz, 512 mb ram, 60 gb hd, external hpdvd640 lightscribe drive. If someone could give me step by step instructions, I would appreciate it. So far I can complete a burn session successfully but backups are not recognized in the ps2. Thanks in advance!!!!!
Very first problem is your media. You're using DVD-RW. PS2s dont know how to recognize that format. Save those for movies or something. Go get yourself some Verbatim DVD-Rs and you should have better luck.
As far as instructions, you seem to be on your way to doing it, it looks like your media is what's giving you trouble.
thanks for the reply davedough! But what does it mean when the DVD+R discs are not accepted in the Nero burning rom program? I was using DVD+R format originally, but Nero burning rom would not cue me to start burning until I inserted a DVD+RW. any ideas?
Hmm... thats odd. I dont think I've seen Nero have troubles with a DVD+R. Since you already have DVD Decrytper... you could see if that will recognize the +r.
and why are rebuilding san andreas???,you do not need isobuster
just do a straight read/write with dvd decrypter
mode>iso>read
mode>iso>write, and burn this game onto a DVD+R if possible @ x 1
hi i have never had trouble wit DVD-R u mite whant to try that and also what dye is on the media i have been told and use DVD-R with go4 dye like datawrite (yellow top) version 2. but it is hard to get hold of blank media with go4 dye.
