help with . mdf . mds files for ps2 please

hi im new . i got ps2 game file ( virtua tennis 2 ) and it has to files . mdf 417 mb and . mds 1 kb . and i burned them with Alcohol 120% but when i play it on my ps2 it dont work says insert disc please help and excuse my lil bad english . thanks

first off, to burn a mdf you need to use the mds, when you select image burning wizard select the .mds which is 1kb, this tells the program how to burn the mdf so it will work how you want it to. and second you cannot play a copy or a burned game on the ps2 with out modding it or using a swap tool, do you have a modchip or a GameShark2 for ps2?

thanks ( solargame )and yeah i have modchip but i think something is rong with the file i have burned some cds and thay worked but this no i hope some one help me . thanks again ( solargame ) the game, :)

go to THE MODE tab and select iso w mode and then go from there, its pretty strait foward, and you cant usually trust downloaded games, half the time they work the other half of the time they are corrupt.

well, i think dvd decrytor only supports dvd, ill tell you what im still willing to help, try this, find the .cue file and right click it and select "open with" and select the NOTEPAD if its not in the list select brows and find it there, copy and paste what the notepad says for me, maybe this is the problem.

im now guessing the file is corrupt, it usually will be, try downloading from good sites like thepiratebay.org

wait one minute, when you burn it with Alchohol120%, once you selected you file do you put the "Write Method" on DAO/SAO or RAW/DAO, and for the datatype make sure its customise, not ps2 game, its more versatile this way.

put the cd in the burner
open DVD Decrypter and select MODE>ISO>WRITE
then find the MDS FILE,and burn it

i did that cant burn it . it says :
invalid or unsupported image file format !
reason : only single track images are supported

hursty, dvd decryptor doesnt support Alchol120%'s file format, Hey co_co, i just burned a mdf and mds file for one of my ps1 games and it worked perfectly and i did it the way i told you to, so that means that the file is indeed corrupt.
