yea but..i dont agree with what they do, its far too complicated, i wont to still have everything on god of war, i dont wonna delete movie scenes and bonus stuff, i wont to make an "Exact" copy, isnt there a way to just split in in half,

Eg. GodOfWar disc1 and GodOfWar disc2.. get it?

I agree with you entirely when u say its far too complicated and it dosent giv u the entire game, but i dont think it would be possible to have 2 seperate dvds for the one game. Or is it??

Who said you couldn't have the whole game on a 4.7Gig disc though. It is possible, just look at Sonix guide his second tutorial on it.It is complicated I give you that, but nobody said making a full DVD-9 backup of games for boot disc method would be easy. You have to downsample the movies and then place them back into the folder, and let the tool relink the files back into the munge.Look at http://www.backuptools.co.uk to get the guide if you need it.Alot of the information is off of LiquidusX link he provided also.Just follow the steps from the guide, and you should have a full backup with nothing ripped. All it really is to be honest is compressing the movies,it can lower the quality also but it depends on what you use to downsample with.

Yep, I had a go at sonix tutorial #2... everything was pretty straight forward, but takes a long time to do it..but should be worth it in the end.
However, after downsampling and everything... I couldn't put the video and wav files back together again.. kept coming up with error missing file.. which is a file from visualbasic, which the program is written in I found out. Anyway, after a lot of p**sing about got the visualbasic program from ms and went to install it... wouldn't let me install it.
I think it could be a problem of compatability between winxp pro and vb or something.
but anyway, the short story would be that after all the downsampling and stuff..couldn't complete the tutorial even though I got so close.
So in the end I decided to follow jizmaks tutorial and just have the game and cut scenes etc and leave out the bonus features... although I think you could leave in a few if you wanted to... now have working copy..yeah!!!!!

anyway, just thought i'd make it known what problems i had trying to follow the sonix tut#2 in case someone else has similar probs in the future.
