I recently got my ps2 chipped and have started backing up all my games.... how do I know which ones need to be patched/rebuilt. So far all of them have copied ok using dvd decrypter to .ISO read and write, but I dont want to burn any coasters. Is there a way to tell before I burn the rest of them?

Also I have a dual layer burner can I do a straight copy from dvd9 to dual layer disk using dvd decrypter or do I still have to patch I have a matrix infinity v1.38 chip

patching and rebuilding are primarily for swap magic users.modchip users dont have the same problems that swap disc users have.

and if your chip supports DVD9 playback then you can backup games to them.dvd9s are expensive,so any bad burns might throw you into a fit.

tell me bout it..... AU$9 each for crappy media. price goes up from there. If my chip supports DVD9 (which I'm certain it does) do I still have to patch gt4 when I burn it?

i know nothing about double layer burning.my burner isnt a dl burner and i wouldnt experiment with dl media even if it was.just make sure you set the layer breaks properly and it should work alright.like i said dl media is expensive so not too many people have alot of experience with it.

so theoreticaly if I set DVD Decrypter to put the layer break in the same spot as the original I should get a perfect copy (aside from boot sector of course)
