Hi,i've got a few questions for you.

I've still got my old SM 2.0 dvd, and im thinking to buy a SM 3.6.
Is there a big difference between these two?Are there much games you can play with 3.6 wich you cant with 2.0 ?Second question:i tried to backup mgs3 snake eater, but when starting a new game it showed me a symbol in the upper left corner.I use Princo media and burnt the game at 2x, and i didnt rebuild the image, just mode<iso<read and then mode<iso<write what do i do wrong?.And the 3rd question:I read Princo isnt such good media, so i went out for some better dvds and i bought traxdata 8x ritek r03 dvds, but the problem is im not able to burn anything on them.Nero says "insert an empty disc" and in dvd decrypter they dont work either.what could be the problem?could it be my drive?
PS sorry if my english is bad :)

swap magic 2.0 is very outdated and cant play alot of new games without using cdloader.on the otherhand,3.6 plays all new games with the exception of double layer backups.

try and use cdloader to play metal gear with your 2.0 disc.go here to det the cdloader program for your ps2 version http://www.swapmagicfix.com/ the site will give instructions on how to burn it to cd and how to use it.

nope, it doesnt work, when i use cdloader v7 i get the "?" "Disc" symbol in the upper left corner(right after snake says something bout the cold war), and when i use cdloader it says "insert psx or ps2 disc". is there a difference between dvdloader and cdloader?guess im gonna have to buy 3.6 then :). I hope someone can figure out whats wrong with de dvds.

i just thought of something.you said you can boot mgs3 and get to the intro movie, right?if that is the case you probably wont need cdloader.the problem might be you need to burn mgs3 at 1x.the game is rather big in size.usually i burn large games at 1x,they work better than 2x.

you would use cdloader in instances when the game doesnt boot up.

i tried but it could only burn at 2,4 (using nero). Is it possible that i can burn at 1x using DVD Decrypter? If so, im gonna try that, but i wasted al my blank dvds, and my traxdata ritek g03 couldnt be read by my drive, so im gonna ask my money back and buy some TDK DVD+R. anyway, thx for your help!

well give cdloader a go in the meantime.you need the cd version of swap magic.if you dont have the cd swap magic disc then you need to get the dvdloader instead of the cdloader.

first you put the cd swap magic in and at the load screen put in the cdloader with slide card or flip top and push x.cdloader is now booted up.push the eject button and put in the dvd swap magic disc then push eject again to let the disc register then push the x button and you will go to a screen that tells you to use ea method.use your slide card or fliptop to swap out for the backup and push x and the game should start.there are different boot options you can select when the cdloader is first booted up if the game still doesnt work.
