I Recently Backed up GT4 and there seems to be a problem starting it up, it skips (sound's like) and then it starts to spin disk (Sound's) but the red screen appears "insert ps2 game" funny thing is that one time I was in my memory card browser and then inserted my GT4 backup and it started as i left the browser, how this happend? I dont know but I have been unable to boot it up since wondering if there is anything I should know?
If you use the DMS4 modchips,then you can backup it up on a dual layered disc.If you have a different modchip that supports dual layered games,then you can use the Toxic Patcher and patch the games for dual layer discs and have them boot.If you are looking for HDD method you can find a guide at http://www.ps2hdd.com or use Toolboy's method pretty much the same thing though.Swap Magic only has one method at the moment which is just GTMode working only,no arcade.You have to build your image 4.9Gig in size and then patch with the Toxic Patcher,then use the split operation with WinHex to get the image down to 4.3Gig in size for the Swap Magic TOC.You have to also have a save on your memory card from the Garage in GTMode for this to work.This is the progress so far on GT4,and yeah there is no way to make a full backup yet with Swap Magic.This covers all the areas for GT4 that are possible at the moment.
