Sorry, i m a noob here. i have been readg alot of threads and search engines on the game GOW. i admitted its a dwnloaded game and i really dunno what to do with the 8GB gi file. Am i able to burn them into 2 dvds? should i create link them all up and create an ISO? i m totally clueless. pls help, kind souls out there. appreciated....

well you should burn it to a dvd9= dvd dual layer or search for the tutortial about ripping this game tot DVD5...
and the rar archive is password protected in case u didnt noticed..

i had managed to retrieve the password and unrar all the files. i read e tutorial on ripping to D5. but tat tutorial is Extracting from DVD game?? while mine is already on HDD? smemre, the files format is different.. they are in GI format..

The .gi files are called global images,not alot of programs are capable of dealing with these files.I think what you can do is use Sonic RecordNow or PrassiPrimo either one of those programs should work with .gi files.I was also thinking you could try out a program like MagicIso or something similar,which should be able to convert the .gi files to an .iso file.I hope this helps you out more,by the way what is your booting method.If you are trying to use the HDD method you could try out this site http://www.ps2hdd.com and use the latest hdloader on there.I also seen a guide not that long ago from boarder44.Telling you what the latest hdloader version is and a guide on how to use it.

Hi, L-Burna, thanks for ur reply. but may i ask, what do u mean by my 'booting method'? my PS2 set is a mod set. its SCPH-50006. (though i may not know what it actualy means)
what i intend to do now is to convert the gi files to iso file. but i have total of FOUR gi files. i will convert them one by one to iso files. i guess i need to read the tutorial and have a better understanding...

By booting method L-burner Means are you using Swapmagic, A Modchip, Or Hardrive to Play the Backups ?
I Think You said Modchip so his comment doesnt apply to modchip users. Just try his advice with the MAGICISO to extract the .gi file and you should get the game working.
P.S. The "SCPH-50006" Are numbers to tell what version of the Ps2 you have. You may need this in the future but probably not. I Think you have version 9 Or 10

hmm... even if i am able to use MagicISO to extract the gi files, but they are too big for my D5 disc. should i b burning 2 files into one disc and insert one disc by one disc on my PS2 set?
very sorry, i m a noob here..

well
DVD9
means that u can only burn it onto a Dual layer dvd disc
that can contain up to 9gb
and if u download the DVD5 image
wich will be 3.5+
then u can do it onto a normal dvd :D
DON'T DO ILLIGAL THINGS ^^

Yup moonslash is Right and in order to Burn it to a DVD5 you might have to Take cut scene Movies out the Game and or Use the Guide on this Site

hi, thanks guys. i understood wat u all meant. DL DVD is D9, SL DVD is D5. but those files i dwnloaded is 8BG and i m tryg to find out, if there is anyway for me to burn the dwnloaded files to TWO D5 dvds? So that they can be played in my PS2 set?

no.
the game you have is god of war,follow the guide posted here,or burn it to a DVD-9,but i guess your modchip doesnt support it
you have downloaded the wrong version,you should have got the "confusion " release

i am guessing you have downloaded it,therefore you should have gotten yourself a DVD-5 rip already done for you
you can rip the version you have,but i would just download it again,but this time get the correct "release",
all this is subject to you owning the original,of course?
