everytime i use either dvd shrink or nero6 to try a copy of a dvd it says error reading disc.Whats causing this and can i use another program to get around it?

use DVD Decrypter but you dont neccessairly have to stop using DVD Shrink...just that there are some movies that DVD Shrink cant by pass but with DVD Decrypter you can....

have you tried using DVD-R my ps2 wont read DVD+R so it could be that also check what speed you burn,check what media you use.

Do you get the same problem with what ever disks you try and copy, or is it a particular disk. If so, what disk is it, I presume you are trying to copy a film (hence the use of Shrink). How far into film does it get, has it got any obvious dirt or damage on it. If it is always the same point and the disk is okay (plays well) then download ANY DVD from Sly soft you get a 3 week free trial, and see if this enables the film to copy okay with these software programs. Shrink has not been updated for quite some time and now Decrypter isn't going to get updated either, so you will definitely need to look at some additional software to use with these programs as more and more films will be encrypted beyond the capabilities of these programs.

are you talking about ps2 games. If it is use iso mode on the dvd decryter it be fine. go to mode dvd decryter then select read iso then after you done choose write i hope you talking about ps2 games back up.

You can't use Shrink to copy PS2 games! only Films, hence my earlier comment.

rawfusion. if your shrink has crapped out then use dvd decryptor its easy. and also you should have posted on dvd disscussion forum. also check your threads once a while as your problem is now solved.
