Problems burning with winaspi error at 33% while burning dvd

Hi,
I need some help. I have a liteon show 812s dvd burner and I am using nero 6.3.17 and I can not burn any dvd's successfully. I get at 33% then it stops and kicks them out. Here is a list of my problems as I have a intel P4 and a soyo dragon 2 mother board with 512 megs of ram.

You need to edit out a couple of things in your post:
First your Nero serial number. It is the number that starts with 1a23 near the top of the Nero log.
Second is your e-mail address. The rules don't allow them.
You may want to slow your burn speed down. Try 4X instead of 8X.
The first errors listed in your log were from trying to start a burn with no media in the drive (twice)as near as I can tell:

TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
Sense Key: 0x02 (KEY_NOT_READY)
Then Nero went crazy after you put the DVD in and even though it read the disc information you still get some errors popping up:

Nero finally figured out that a DVD was in the drive re-read it and started the burn:

Any other ideas on this. I found this thread doing a web search for that "File Writer.cpp, Line 304 Write error" message. The machine I'm attempting this on is a new Dell, the burner is a brand new Samsung, there are currently no firmware updates available for it. I have this same burner running beatifully in my own 5 year old Dell Dimension XPS. I've tried using media that I know works on my machine at the slowest possible speed, I've even swapping the drives themselves, both work fine in my old Dimension. Both Dell's are running XP SP2. The only other thing I can think to try at this point is stopping all possible processes on the machine in question.
