About the GameShark and the SWAP MAGIC 3.6 (completely new thread)

I will be as acurate as possible.
When you go to the official swap magic site (www.swapmagic3.com) it says that swap magic 3.6 is now compatible with the GAMESHARK.
Well, it is true, because the CD version on my swap magic run cheat codes directly, without using the cd loader, when i press the square button, for a "special boot".
I cannot say the same thing with the dvd driver of the Swap magic version.
HOW can I play, as stated in the official site, using the GAMESHARK with my DVD backups, WITHOUT using dvd loader.
I would use the dvd loader, but its not possible, SINCE i have the slim ps2, and i would like to use my swap magic to directly boot my cheat into the game. Thanx.

I have the same problem, I'd like to find a way to use cheats with swapmagic 3.6, but it doesn't seem to be possible as far as I know, this PStwo slim is so fussy.

Buy Action Replay.
Load Action Replay
Select your cheats and when it says insert disc, switch with swap magic
take memory card off fast and than put and load up your ps2 back up, than put memory card in fast also.

I've already tried that procedure time and again, it doesn't work.
NB: my AR is a backup, but works perfectly with the swapmagic CD

DVD BACKUPS
1. Boot AR MAX
2. Select the codes you want
3. Select Start Game
4. The cd/dvd drive will now eject automatically.
If you have a version 1-8 ps2 replace the AR MAX with the swap magic cd.
If you have a version 9/10 ps2 replace the AR MAX with the Swap magic dvd.
Once you have made the appropriate swap press eject to close the cd/dvd drive and press x.
5. Once the Swap magic cd/dvd has loaded do the following...
If you have a version 1-8 ps2 swap the swap magic cd with the cdloader using ea method and press x.
If you have a version 9/10 ps2 swap the swap magic dvd with the dvdloader using ea method and press x.
6. Once the cd/dvdloader has loaded press eject and swap the cd/dvdloader with a high toc original such as the swap magic dvd and press eject to close.
7. Wait about 7 seconds and press x.
8. Once the screen that says "swap dvdr by ea method" comes up swap the high toc original with your DVD-R backup using ea method and press x.
9. Your backup will now load with cheats.

This method works,
You have to use cd or dvdloader though.

are u sure this DVDloader works with a PStwo slim also? I heard it doesn't cuz it was designed for the V7 PS2

DVDLoader V7 was designed for V7 and up, but I don't know if it supports the the PSTwo.

that's exactly what I menat, the PStwo is too fussy, a guy ina forum said that the DVDloader V7 won't work on a slim PS2, I don't see any other way to get the AR work with swapmagic and backup games

hey i got a swap magic 2.0 and i just want in got gameshark v5 and i cant get the codes to work with it i have try gameshark/swap magic/burn game but the codes do not work what is my problam is it the swap magic or what

unfortunately swapmagic doesn't seem to be suitable for cheats and codes,I hope a way to bypass this problem will turn up sooner or later

ok read all the threads just want a clear idea if mine will work i have gameshark with media player etc.. someone tell me what version mine is please......also ps 2 scph-39001 what version is that also and i have the new swap magic got it to work one time then froze..
any help would be greatful thanks and happy new year
