Backup Virgin Needing Help & Advice Please

Hey All
I am a back-up virgin in the PS2 world and I've been reading and searching the net but the information and software is all very confusing and conflicting.
If I start with what I have installed on my computer maybe you can help me and tell me if there is anything else that I need. We have an unmodded PS2 and no PS2 Boot Disc.
I have Nero, DVD Dectrypter and DVD Shrink on my PC. I have access to Alcohol via my other half.
I want to back up our games. So where do I go from here with what I have? Is there anything else that I need for our PS2 in order to use the back-up discs?
