What kind of DVD (+ or -) is better for my PS2 Slim (V12)? My friend burned some backups with BenQ DVD+R and they worked pretty well, but now I wanna burn my own backups (PS2 and not PS2) and I want them to be compatible with most of the DVD drives / players. Is that true that the -R are compatible in most of the players?

That's why I'm asking DVD+R or DVD-R. I know the BenQ +R worked well on my PS2, but I wondered if some Taiyo Yuden DVD-R would also work on it? Or if I should get the TY DVD+R ??

I use -R for all my games and +R for all my movies.

don't know, never used them. Do an internet search on the words "dvd media guide" and see if they list that brand and if it is any good.
I use Philips and they work great. Have also used TDK with good success, and have heard Verbatim discs are good along with Ritek G04

can you use DVD-RW to play games with swap magic??? i just got mine today and need some help on how to burn and what dvd type to use...

i tried using RW, and no they do seem to work at all...although some people have had limited success...but from what i've heard they do more damage to your laser then -/+r
