psp doom Help

Hi! Im just now understanding how to get roms on the psp but what about doom? I used KXploit but when I go to run it It dosnt work. It just shows this.
Game mode indeterminate.
Public Doom - v1.10
V_Init: allocate screens.
M_LoadDefaults: Load system defaults.
Z_Init: Init zone memory allocation daemon.
W_Init: Init WADfiles.
W_InitFiles: no files found
Is there somthing Im doing wrong? Am I missing a step? Please help.

First i would recomend you download the latest doom , v 2.0 and second do you have the eboots and the folders correctly set up??

Thank you so much for replying.Im not completly sure.How should it look? Is there anything eles that should be in the doom file itself other than the PBP FILE? And like when I see the duke nukem game it says to put it in the doom file as DOOM 2? I totally dont understand.
right now in the psp mem card it gos
-PSP folder-
Game folder-
DOOM folder and DOOM% folder
and in the doom folder the doom PBP file

it should look like this
PSP folder-
Game folder-
DOOM folder and DOOM% folder
in doom folder is Eboot.pbp file, and Doom.wad
and in doom% there should be Eboot.pbp
To play duke nukem you need Doom 2 on your psp, but first you should just try to get doom to work

also if kxploit isn't allowing you to generate the necessary folders(doom & doom%)you may want to try sei psp tool has a few less errors

Hey, i have a question my self, if you down load any .wad game, will it work with the eboots from doom???

yeah,, any .wad game files really, doom2 and final doom , and quake, and duke, and anything like that

Well i downloaded DOOM2 from a p2p, however i own DOOM 2 so its not like im stealing ;) and i replaced it with the orginal doom wad, and put the new doom 2 wad in it, and renamed the folders doom2 and doom2%
and it wont work.

you may need to replace the original doom.wad with the doom2.wad(and rename it "doom") and leave the folders Doom and Doom%...it should work

I did it, it still doesnt work, i think the wad file might be corrupted.. What happens is when i hit doom to load, the screen turns black after it says "psp" and then it stays black and turns off. I think it might be the corrupted doom file, but what else could it be?

is the "doom" folder in front of "doom%"...sometimes you have to set some folders like this.....another try might be to name the wad file "DOOM2" and leave the folders named "DOOM" and "DOOM%"..let me know how it comes out..haven't tried that one yet..

Aight, i figured it out, you have to name it doom1.wad and the folders stay doom, however i got doom2 to load fine, but when right when i start the game,, it turns black, and turns off.

I just dowloaded doom and put it in,
PSP/games
I then made two files,
doom which has DOOM1.WAD and EBOOT.PBP in it and,
doom% which has EBOOT.PBP in it.
I get the doom icon on my PSP and it begins to open but then it comes up with a message, This game cannot be started and a number 80020001 after it.
Can anybody tell me whats going wrong?

quick question are you getting the icon and a corrupt file icon? when i get home i'll take a look at my doom file and see how it is put on there..'''haven't looked at it in awhile...but i will get back soon

captialize the DOOM folders, both of them. and see what happens, and if nothing else happens, try re-downloading doom

hey hey,
i have the same error that longalien has... but i set my .WAD file in the correct place already... (at least i think...) just like longalien though, i am pretty new to this stuff. so here is what my folders look like... and i appreciate any help you can offer.
psp/games/doom/eboot.pbp & .wad file
psp/games/doom%/eboot.pbp
i will try to get doom v2.0 , but any other suggestions would be more than helpful.
