I burned to a dvd-rw checked on multisession, burn it,re-insert dvd with 1GB more free space and add another file ghen click burn. when i reinsert it , I can only find the file I burned the first time , not the second. why??

Try not to use the multi-session function of Nero 'cos there have been many reports of it not working (like your situation).
