Reading problem with DVD-R

hello, this is my problem.
last night i downloaded this file: 5th_elem.img (=a movie)
it is a dvd of size 4gig 445mb.
i'v mounted the image with deamon tools and the movie played with my dvd software so the movie is fine. i decided to burn the dvd to a disk like i have done before. because nero wont burn .img files i opened the .img file with ultra iso, converted it as a .iso file and burned the iso to a disk with nero.
now i try to play the dvd with my dvd-player (on tv) and the movie wont start. the dvd-player says he's reading and keeps reading till the end of time. so it seems clear the player wont read the disk.
(i have burned it onto a -dvd cause my dvd player can only read - dvd's) when i put the self writen dvd into my pc than the movie plays fine with power dvd, but it wont play on my tv.

any word of advice out there?
i'v burned several dvd's before, never a problem there.

i hope someone could help me out here.

could be a PAL format movie and you're in NTSC land or vice versa. Here'a guide on how to switch that around, but first you'll have to break apart that image file with ISO Buster or a similar program:
