I used to use discs that had the media code [AML] from CompUSA. They worked well with my NEC 3250 burner, v4 PS2, and Sony & Apex dvd players. Tried [AN13]'s (100 pack @ CompUSA) and those discs were very weird. First 2 burned okay but after that my burner read every [AN13] disc as "not empty". Tried the discs on other burners and they read them fine. Tried other discs on my burner and they burnt them fine. Very strange but whatever.

If the store you bought them from will let you return them then just try burning a few and see if they'll work. If not then just return them. I bought a few dvd-r's from CompUSA and Best Buy and when they didn't work I was able to return them for a full refund. As for the Anwell discs, my experience with them has been good except for the "disc not empty" thing so I'd say they're good. Definantly worth trying.
