Does anyone have any problems with transferring things to their MS's? I have tried using 2 different computers and sometimes it will time out, and it is always in different places, so I know the files are fine. Just wondering if anyone has had similiar problems. I get an error(which i cant say because I am at work now) and sometimes after the error I have to fidget with the USB connection before windows will allow me back in. Its a pain in the butt. I am starting to wonder if it is the cable itself. But it is brand new. Thanks

My friend and I had the same problem using a Jap PSP and a 128 Skandisk MS (memory stick). For some reason it was really slow copying files. We had to wait a few extra seconds (minute even) until the light stoped flashing on the PSP and then do a safe remove of the USB connection from the PC. If we didn't do it that way the files would not copy over. Sometimes they would even show they were there but had nothing in them (no file size).

This did not happen to me on my USA 1.50 and 512 or 256 MS. It's weird. I don't have to do a safe disconnect. I can pretty much remove the USB cable whenever I want and the files are transfered as soon as you see the copy graphic go away.

You said you were at work right? I would imagine the PC's there are networked. Are you running 2000 on them?

I'm wondering because we also did this at work and maybe it has something to do with the windows 2000 OS.

Let me know. I'm interested to find out!! In the meantime I'll ask around.

P.S. You can talk about whatever games you want. Just dont ask where to get illegal ones or post links to them.

Cool, I will speak freely again. I edited my first post so I didnt get in trouble. So ya I am trying to copy Wipeout Pure over(and yes i have the iso extracted). And I am doing the work at HOME. I am at WORK right now so I cant tell you what the errors are because I am not in front of them. So it's Windows XP home and Pro. It really tends to get hung up on the big files, I think its the WAD file. When I do finally get a good tranfer I still cant get the game to start right. But I am taking it one step at a time. All the threads about this stuff says the same thing and thats "use the search function" so I doubt I will be asking "how to" anytime soon.

Also, are you saying that you would get an error during transfer and then just wait for the MS light to stop blinking after a minute and it would be all transfered? Even tho you had an error. This is one thing I have not noticed or tried I guess. I just assumed it quit transfering when I got the windows error.

wipeout is a little bugged. You may want to try something a bit easier if it's the first time. You might be missing the "common" folder or it could be in the wrong place (should be in main drive). You also may have to patch the boot.bin (ppf-o-matic3) depending on what version you downloaded. I cant give any more info other than that without breaking forum rules.
there is also a few loaders that dont work well with different iso files. If this is not the first game you've loaded then you know there are a few other sites you can turn to for better help...

About the transfer,
I never got a windows error when transfering. we just had to wait a real long time and make sure everything stoped flashing on the PSP before even touching anything.

Lets put it this way. If we even switched to a different file folder (unrelated to what we were transfering) while the transfer process was going to the PSP it would dump out. We had to copy 1 folder at a time and really let it sit for a while before trying any more. I'm still trying to figure if it's his MS or something windows related...

Ya I know what you mean about doing NOTHING else while transfering. I barely move the PSP cause it seems to do better transfering, seemed like as soon as I moved something the transfer would crap out. I have yet to get a game to work, so it is a bit frustrating. I did try and get Lumines going and still cant get it. I put the common folder on the root of the MS. The only thing I am unsure of is if I need to keep the PRX files in both spots or jus the one spot. The loader I got had a boot.bin and an eboot in it also and in the instructions it only states to replace the boot.bin. Didn't make sense to me as to why they would include a eboot also. I suppose I will try a different loader, even tho I got it from one of the bigger PSP sites. This is like the softmod of the Xbox all over again. Hours of trial and error. LOL
