I bought God of War and I tried backing it up like it says on one of the posts using cddvdgen, Apache2 & sonix god of war tool. I can extract layer 1 but when I try extracting layer2(Part2.PAK) I get an error (Error reading from file)??? Can anyone please let me know what might be wrong?????????? Thanks.

well, don't know if this helps, but you didn't mention dvddecrypter in your post anywhere.

1.Use decrypter to get the iso from the disc to your hard drive.
2.Then create a folder on your harddrive to store the extracted files in step 3.
3.open apache2 and select the iso you created on your harddrive in step1.
4.select all the files in the window and right click the mouse button and select extract and the destination.
5.right click the disc image in the left window and select switch layers.
6.repeat step 4.

now you should have both layers in the same folder on your harddrive.
follow the guide from there.

Have a look inthe original god of war thread...should answer all your questions about this game backup.

But short version is no, unless you have the dms4 ezi mod chip installed in your ps2.. in which case you would be able to download sonix dual layer patcher and do this so i've read.
