Ok Guys I am new at the whole home networking thing I have a linksys Wireless router now here where I need help the internet is working fine but when I try to play my online games IE- World Of WarCraft, CounterStrike ext.. my ping times are nuts. but when I plug right into the back of my cable modems no problems I called linksys they said something about port opening for games and apps I found it in my router setup page but have no idea how to set it up or ever the values I would put in any help would be great thanks!

ok you will have to set up port forwarding if you got a manual with your router this will some in very handy at this point. Also in the games booklet that shoudl tell you whihc ports it needs open but you can google it too and probably get it for example world of warcraft http://www.portforward.com/cportsnotes/battlenet/wow.htm

this should fix your issues.
