I tried a DL dvd, but that didnt work

If you use a modchip like Matrix Infinity or DMS4 Pro you can play DVD9 backups. But if you use Swap Magic you cant play DVD9, you can fit them to DVD5 but I think GT4 cant be fitted to DVD5.

another person not keeping up with the times..there is a new gt4 tool by sonix that will let you put gt4 on a DVD5 with no gameplay taken out,only some movie scenes taken out.i made a copy myself and it works great.heres the thread about it so you can check it out http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/212324/1169881-346072
