hi out there, i am a green horn at this sort of thing,a blonde thing happening i think, ok here goes, when ive downloaded azureus, i get these cute little blue frogs telling me i have errors, something about cant use port 6881, because something else might be using it and when i try to download something the cute little yellow face stays there and tells me i have a nat problem. could anyone help please.thankyou

You need to open up these ports in your firewall.

Your firewall should be in your system tray, lower right hand corner of the screen. Do you know if you are behind a router? , this can also cause trouble in azereus. You may also change the port in which azereus uses.

thank you fartdude, i only have a little messanger guy, volume and my norton anti virus symbol. also is a router the thingy that connects our two computers together. you people are going to get so sick of me im sure, my apologies.

Well seems like you dont have a firewall, looks like the problem is your router (yes a router connects 2 pc's together for internet access)
as for a firewall i would recommend you look into some of these free optons,

Sygate firewall
Zone Alarm firewall.

and last but not least when using any type of filesharing application it is important to have some form of protection other than a firewall there are 2 options here,

PeerGuardian 2
Protowall

these both work similar to each other but each has its own advantage.
