Anyone out there got Hot shots golf fore (or 4) to work as a DVD-R backup? I can't seem to get it to work. Could be do to my DVD and CDloaders not working properly (see here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/212808 ), but it might be due to the games not working. I've tried it twice, with two different versions of the game. The real game isn't scratched up or anything so it should burn fine. I'm just wondering if anyone got it to work mainly.

I dunno, i guess the DVD-R is bad or something, i can't get this game to work. Don't feel like burning it again since i doubt it would work. Pretty sure i'm using DVDloader correctly, it's just not working i guess. Maybe there's something special besides 5V3 NO PN i have to do? All of the loaders i've tried seem to read the game as "Invalid Disc".

How exactly do you get it to boot up sly? I might try burning it again but i doubt 2 DVD-Rs in a row were bad. Can't get CD/DVDloader to read it as anything but "Invalid Disc" though.

you could try to reburn it, but if you do i suggest rebuilding the ISO just for kicks. It may help.
But mine works fine and i did nothing special to burn or load it.
I use Swap Magic 3.0 and that's it. No CD Loader.
have you tried it with just Swap Magic not using CD Loader?

How do you load it only using SMCD 3.0 when it's a DVD game? Also i think fixes are required to run it as listed by swapmagicfix.com

ropeadope , now you got me confused.
You load it by putting in swap magic DVD version (you do know there are 2, on for CD's and one for DVD's), waiting till it gets to the load screen. Using your flip top to swap out for your back up game, shut the flip top and press X
I use Swap Magic 3.0 with my flip top on my V7 and i can tell you that it works. It has slower load times than my chipped PS2 but the game plays just fine.

Its very easy. Load swap magic cd, eject and put in a big dvd game to refresh the toc, swap for backup.

I know how to use Swap Magic DVD and CD, but this game needs cdloader or DVDloader to boot right? If not then why is it listed on swapmagicfix.com? Also the original game IS dvd, at least mine is. Anyways, i can't get it to load and i've tried just about everything.
Are you sure it's supposed to just boot only by using the swap magic CD? That really doesn't seem right.
I tried the refresh TOC thing and that didn't work either, just gave me a big red screen.

I'm thinking it's definitely a hardware or software problem, leaning toward hardware. Can't get anything to boot via cd/dvd loader. Including hotshots and god of war. Should i try and repair my fliptop or something?
