Hello
My Toshiba SD-R5272 DVD Burner can't write/read DVD's. When I use DVD Decrypter, it says "Device not ready, medium not present" or "Unable to recover TOC".

I sent the device to Toshiba for warranty repair and they returned it saying they have repaired it.

Is that possible that I could have a local probelm with my PC or an IDE port ? Anyone can tell me what it could be ?

I don't really remember any codes but it looks like the device is really broken.

Toshiba told me that maybe they didn't find the problem and sent it back to me. They will pay for the 2nd shipping and will replace it.

Weird situation...
