Dynasty Warriors 5 not working

I made a copy of Dynasty Warriors 5, and believe me I tried everything. First of all, I have Swap Magic Disc 3.3 (DVD and CD). Those work fine, but once I put my copy of DW5 in there, it won't even get to the title..it won't get anywhere, it's just a black screen from the start. I've read on teh forums that people have gotten this to work for them no problem...so what am I doing wrong? I tried just a standard copy from the original straight to a DVD, made an ISO and copied it over that way, tried different burning applications, tried the old cdvdgen method, tried the CD loaders and the whole bit but no go...I have Dynasty Warriors empires and Dynasty Warriors 3 working no problem (copied) so why not this one?

Can anybody tell me what I can do?

Oh and I have a PS2 SCPH-39001.

what's the size of the iso?

did ya try pressing square (special boot) instead of X (normal boot)?

The ISO is 3.44 gigs. And I just tried the Special Boot and get the same results. It will flicker on the screen but ends up staying black and nothing happens.

it works for 3.6 swap magic i think you need to cd loader or something search www.ps2nfo.com

I did try CD Loader, and all the different kinds of loaders listed here: http://swapmagicfix.com/

But no luck, same black screen. If I do need a better version of Swap Magic, then what's the use in version 3.3? I just got the thing less then 4 months ago and already it's obsolete? I mean, if it's just my PS2 being too old of a model, that would make more sense to me. Don't tell me that I just wasted my money. :(

I found the answer to my problem, it was my burner! I don't understand why but my friend did the exact same ISO (plan copy to a DVD, with the same DVD Decrypter version) with his burner and it worked just fine...mean while, I tried it 3 different ways with my burner and got the same failing results everytime. I even tried my friends PS2 with the copies I made (he has a SlimPS2 console) and they failed the same way. But once he used his burner with the same ISO I made and same software I used, it works fine in both PS2's. So again, my burner is an I/O Magic Dual Format 4x DVD ReWritable Drive (IDVDRW4D)...so for anyone that has an I/O magic burner, you may experience the same issues as me...

Hope this helps somebody...as far as I'm concerned, I'm never buying I/O magic products again.

Also, my friend has Swap Magic 3.6 and I have 3.3 so the older version wasn't the problem, the only issue I could find was the burner...what else could it be?
