issue with fliptop?

I will try to be as detailed as possible, I just installed the fliptop into my slim ps2 - version 12, I backup Enter the Matrix and Metal Gear Solid 2 via DVD Decryptor and then burned via DVD Decryptor, I have am using Sony dvd-r at 2x, using a sony 540 internal drive. I am booting up via the swapmagic 3.6 it will get to the screen to load the game x or square and then when I lift up the fliptop the loader will be stopped and when it is lifted up it starts to spin again and then I can't get a game to load, about once in 10 it will not spin and the backups will work. Think that the dvd's are fine, just something with the ps2 and fliptop. I took it apart and put it back together and the first time I tested it everything was fine, then turned off the unit to test again and it is not working again with the same game. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

The Sony DVD-R are from Japan and they are version 2.0, I have now also tried DVD+R's and they are not working either. I think that the disks are fine but I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

i am not sure i fully understand but here are the steps.

1. put in swap magic (dvd version for DVD games)
2. get to the load screen
3. open fliptop
4. put in back up and close (it should not be spinning at all here)
5. close it and press X

3. open fliptop - I open it up and then I am about to take out the swapmagic and then the lens will move back down and then start to spin,the times it works it does not move back down. I usually have to hold the lip all the way up for it not to spin.
4. put in back up and close (it should not be spinning at all here)- 5. close it and press X

do you have a slim PSTwo by any chance?
If so do you have a slimtool installed.
I do not have a fliptop (aftermarket style) on my V12 slim, i have it chipped so i am not real sure about what could cause it on those.
But on my older V7 i know when i open the flip top to get out Swap Magic and put in the back up it doesn't spin until i close it and press X button
