1.when i extract the iso from iso buster it is smaller than the origional game why is this?

2.if you copied swap magic dvd boot onto a dvd-r would it still work in my "fat" ps2?

3.when i burn my finished ps2 game do i burn it in iso format or do i extract the iso and burn the contents to the disc?


CAN SOME ONE HELP? im realy stuck and need support

In answer to your questions..

1. Don't know and to be honest don't care as long as the game works.

2. No it wouldn't work. It needs to be the original disc.

3. You burn the iso, preferably using Nero or dvdecrypter or similar.

i agree with above, who cares as long as it works.

No it is a pressed disc. It would copy but then you would need to use Swap Magic to load your back up of Swap magic. Useless.

Depends on the program, But yes you burn the ISO. That is the easies way. With DVD Decrypter, my personal choice, you burn an MDS file it creates instead of the ISO it creates.

Nero can burn the individual files as an UDF/ISO project but that is really taking it one step too far. I only do that and use ISO buster if a game needs to be rebuilt, which is only about 10-15% of them.

im not a 100% sure on this,but my theory is the original game disc incorporates free space as game data.and when you extract the game files with isobuster it extacts only the game files and not the free space which would account for the loss in size.most people dont care but finding out the reasoning about things puts you in a better position to understand what you are doing and can probably help solve problems later down the road.

the other questions have pretty much been answered.
