Ok. Base on my understanding you would use toxic patcher to successfully back up DVD9 (The Guy Game 7.55gb) into a dvd 5 (4.7gb) right?

No, you patch the iso with this patch. You are than able to burn the iso onto dual layer media. Without the patch your ps2 would not be able to play the game.

yeah what nivek41 said.
the PS2 can not play a dual layer back up, even with swap magic.
only if you have a good mod chip like DMS4 Pro, DMS4 Lite, Or Matrix Infinity
