I heard that Memorex DVD-Rs can be harmful to the lens of a PS2, do any of you know if TDK DVD-Rs can do the same? If there is a brand of DVD-R that's best to use, I'd like to know that too, if possible.
Thanks.

To be honest i cant see why a DVD-R would cause any problems, TDK dvds are very good quality but there are a few fakes floating around so be careful, another good make of media for the Ps2 is Verbatim.

Memorex just plain suck for games.
TDK, Philips, Verbatim, Ritek G04
But they should work ok for movies.
