I have the film Cheech and Chong Still Smokin , its region 1 and single layer by paramount - easy to backup - rip all files to HD with Smartripper , put in a folder called VIDEO_TS and burn back to disk with Prassi except the result wont play in my friends set-top cos he hasnt got a region free player , its region 2 . I have checked the settings in Smartripper to ensure I have it set to remove region coding . I have also looked at the disk I made using DVD Decryter and it says its good for region 1,2,3,4,5,6,etc . I have also tried it in other set-top players just to confirm that it wont play in anything but region 1 . I've even done the film all again just incase .
I have done the film by demuxing it with Smartripper and remuxing it with DVD Maestro so thats no problem I just want to know how the region coding has survived Smartripper removing it , twice
