Well theres a site here on afterdawn that takes you to another site that helps you with burning ps2 games. Notice something odd:

DVD Decrypter.

1) Open up DVD Decrypter

2) Put in the ps2 game you are going to backup

3) Go to "Mode" "ISO" "Read"

4) Choose a destination for the ISO you are going to create (make sure you have atleast 5 gigs on your hard drive available)

5) Click the Decrypter button on the bottom and the process will begin

6) When the process is done, go to "Mode" "ISO" "WRITE"
NOTE: Make sure to burn at 1x for best results!

7) Find the ISO you put on your hard drive and then click the Write button on the bottom and your done!

.......And your done? It looks like its saying your done, now pop in the game and play. But dont you need a mod like swap magic?

helloyoda,
people who write guides assume that you would already know that you do.
With that guide you WOULD burn a copy of the game that would work if you modded the PS2, can't spell every little detail out for people. They have to be a bit resourceful and find some things out themselves.
2kwic is correct, it is how to burn them, not how to play them.
