DL DVD to DLT in Spruce

Hi
Due to some damaged stock, I need to find a way to reproduce DLTs from a commercial dual layer DVD. I can get the videoTS and audioTS files using ripping software but when I then try to write these to a DLT in Spruce, an error message comes up due to having no .LAY file. Is there any way round this, or even a different way to do the whole process?
