Just out of curiosity, has anyone successfully back up GT4 with the new ripping tool by sonix?

For me i tried once but it didnt get past the Sony Presents bit. Also i was a little disappointed with the game, it just doesnt have that fun factor in it. Much more prefer burnout etc..

Yes, Mine works fine using Sonix's method. Been playing it for the past few days, filling my garage with nice cars. Love the game.

I'm in the US, so it was NTSC version. I use a Swap Magic 2.0 disk on a V7 PS2 burned on Sony DVD+R media.

Hey Davedough I know a little trick on gaining credits real quick that isn't posted I don't think on most game sites.Get the Chevrolet Camaro '00 and boost it up the engine,turbo etc...as fast as it will go.Then go into the American Events and go to Stars and Stripes event(you might have to get a certain license from the license center,can't remember to be honest).There are three courses which make it not really long,if you can beat these three courses you will get a souped up Camaro.Since it is considered a race car they won't allow you to use it in the Stars and Stripes event,but you can sell it and get 200,000 credits which will help you get cars quicker.Once you beat it the first time I would suggest getting a Dodge Viper and continue racing with it in the Stars and Stripes event.It doesn't really handle real good the Dodge Viper,but you can make up for the handling with speed.It has a chitload of speed,and is one of the quickest stock cars you can use.

I've tried both methods and something is not right, Which tool did you use ver 1.0 or 1.1 of the sonix tool. When it comes to removing the PSS files second ver does it for you. my net size was 4.7gig and
cdvdgen says too many sectors. What did you do different???

o and for teh credits, go to special conditionraces, second race...its two races and u get a a car worth liek 250,000...easy as all hell

yeah its that toyota 4x4. ive won it and sold it 6,7 times now and now have well over 1.5 million credits.
