yep nintendo already said it would be significally lower than sony or microsoft expect a price around 200.00! alll in all they need something to stay on the edge. I'm really looking forward to the revoulution and how it will be able to play all the old games. with a big harddrive I could have a complete nintendo collection in a little box!

At E3 2005, Nintendo said that with Revolution it is aiming to make a "small, quiet and affordable console." It stressed this point and avoided direct questions about technical specifications. Nintendo executives also stated that the company is not interested in engaging in a technical battle with competitors Sony and Microsoft.
In an interview with IGNcube, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto offered further insight:
"You know, in regard to the power of the Nintendo Revolution versus, say, the Xbox 360, we're looking at making a small, quiet, affordable console," he said. "If you look at trying to incorporate all that, of course we might not have the horsepower that some other companies have, but if you look at the numbers that they're throwing out, are those numbers going to be used in-game? I mean, those are just numbers that somebody just crunched up on a calculator. We could throw out a bunch of numbers, too, but what we're going to do is wait until our chips are done and we're going to find out how everything in the game is running, what its peak performance is, and those are the numbers that we're going to release because those are the numbers that really count."
well the president of nintendo and inventor of mario is what makes me believe this lol! there's no way it will be 300.00 or more look at nintendo to be the cheapest next gen console at 199.99!

are u really going to buy the nintendo revolution? People will only buy the revolution if nintendo comes up with more mature games. When i was 10 yr old super mario was great, but now im not looking for that type of games. Nintendo lovers dont waste your money on revolution, get a xbox 360 or ps3

this doesn't even make sense. are you trying to persuade me? and others to buy other consoles over nintendo? well guess what it won't work. I will buy all 3, nintendo revolution is in the bag just for the fact it will use the dvd format and will have built in hardrive and emulation for all the old games yes I still love super mario brothers. and yes a nintendo vault the size of 3 dvd cases for 200 bucks is more appealing than a 450.00 ps3 with 60.00 games.

techguy is absolutely right for 200bux i can get a console that does all my old school'n and what's new. we all know someone (or are that someone) who has every rom from NES, GB, SNES, GBC, N64, GBA and whatever else i missed. thousands of roms ready to be put to use immediately... tell me that doesnt make sense when yo ucompare it to the fact that it took a year or more before emulation was even available for a different console. ( i could be wrong)
i'd consider getting the REV just for the emulation factor. but still gonna get ps3 as well. XB360 doesnt really strike my fancy, but it's prob'ly still something neat. i say that whoever has the rumored final fantasy 7 remake first will be the first console i get.
PS2 v7 39001 + 64MB MC
200GB Seagate oem
Retail HDA (HDL Fully Patched)
boot = Launchelf 3.4b
exploit = Codebreaker 8.1 method

Nintendo always charges their products for a reasonable price. Shoot, they might charge $200 for it, and then lower the price to $150 or something during the months to come
